Left Chicago on A Friday Night and arrived at Islamic Center of Irvine (ICOI)
Then I found out that Mishary Rashid Al-Afasay is feeling under the weather and wont becoming for taraweeh, but will only be available for qiyaam, so we just asked qasim to recite… figured its relatively the same thing.
Then Mishary showed up in traditional kuwaiti-mafioso/entourage style in the black Yukon Denali.
I understand the pictures are not the best, but he walks in straight to the mimbar and starts, so not a lot of time for pictures. His akhlaaq and adab are excellent btw. If someone extended their hand to meet him, he would stop and greet them politely.
I shook his hand way out in this vid, and gave him a hug the next night, very nice guy. Yes, I was like a 14 year old girl at a Justin Timberlake concert when he was around.
They were doing some heavy recording and had studio quality equipment, none of it helps his voice as we heard others on recite on the same setup.
While we were out there we went to go see some sights. Some people favor Disney Land, we favor the Houses of Allah. ** shrugging shoulders **
Garden Grove
Home to Muzamil Siddiqi
Luckily we got their just in time for the Eid Bazaar
Would have been nice to stop by here for some food but we were fasting, right across the street from the masjid.
Masjid Omar
Some kids wrote something in the dust on this car, lets see if you can read it.
and then we went to MAS Chineese, the food here is so good off the hook. Zabiha at it best.
Lomita
Stopped by to see the NeighborNet/Halaqaa and the brothers.
Palm Trees – I can’t help but admire them.

Dome Of The Rock is within the masjid Al-Aqsa campus. The entire area is a mountain, and Dome of The Rock is the highest point, where the Prophet (SAW) left for Isra wal Miraj. The masjid is built on that area, and circles around the highest point. I am not sure what the authenticity of the story, but we know he left from somewhere in the Aqsa Campus.
I like this chandelier, its the beginning of Surah Isra.
This is the mimbar.
They dug a portion of the top of the hill until the original bedrock and you can see where the orignal mimbar from that time was.

Arrived at the Red Sea, on Border of Egypt and Filastine.
That island is the fortress of Saluhedeen on the Red Sea.
Taba is the last city before entering into Filastine.
Just a few pictures from the checkpoint, they keep everyone there for a little while so I took some pictures of the Red Sea.
At the Bus Station
That’s the Dead Sea, you can see all the salt piling up on the shore.
My first sighting of Dome of the Rock, a beautiful sight indeed.
This is the wall that surrounds the old city.
